Bathinda Development Authority – BDA Enclave Freehold Residential Plots Scheme in Bathinda

The Bathinda Development Authority (BDA) had launched a residential plots scheme in BDA Enclave, Bathinda on Friday, October 01, 2010. The last date for BDA Enclave, Bathinda scheme was on Monday, November 01, 2010.

The Bathinda Development Authority had announced result of the lottery draw for the BDA Enclave Plots Residential Scheme on March 16, 2011, March 17, 2011, and March 18, 2011 for the different category of plots.

The Governor of Punjab established Bathinda Development Authority on July 16, 2007. Office of the Bathinda Development Authority is situated at the BDA Complex, Bhagu Road, Bathinda in Punjab.

As per the Bathinda Development Authority policy, 80% plots of a residential scheme are sold through draws of lots and balance 20% of the plots are sold through auction.

Salient Features of BDA Enclave Bathinda Scheme

1. The applicant must be a citizen of India and must have attained the age of majority (18 years) as on the date of application.

2. The applicant himself or herself or any member of his or her family should not own any residential house, flat or plot allotted by any Government Agency in Bathinda. The person who has bought a house, flat or plot in auction or resale is eligible to apply in this scheme.

3. The price for a corner or park facing plot shall be 5% extra. In case a plot is both corner and park facing, the price of the plot shall be 10% extra.

4. For the applicant applying under the physically handicapped quota, there will be a rebate of 5% on the price of a plot.

5. Reservation of plots for reserved categories shall be as per the Punjab Government Policy.

6. Payment Plans:

(a) 10% of the price of plot is to be deposited along with the application.
(b) 15% of the price of plot is payable within 30 days from the date of issue of Letter of Intent (LOI).
(c) 5% of the price of plot shall be payable at the time of possession of the plot.
(d) Remaining 70% is payable in lump sum within 60 days from the date of issue of Letter of Intent (LOI). If the applicant pays in one lump sum, he or she would get a 10% on the payment. If an allottee wants, he or she can pay the 70% amount along with interest at the rate of 12% per annum, payable half yearly in 7 half-yearly installments from the date of issue of Letter of Intent (LOI).

7. Allotment of the residential plots shall be made through a draw of lots.
