About Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC)
The Jammu Municipal Corporation was constituted (upgraded from Jammu Municipality) on February 18, 2003, vide notification SRO 46 under the J & K Municipal Corporation Act 2000.
The jurisdiction of the Jammu Municipal Corporation is spread over an area of 112 square kilomtere and has been divided into 71 wards.
The duties and functions of the Jammu Municipal Corporation include City Roads, Gardens and Parks, Sewerage and Drainage, Street Lighting, and Water Works.
