Delhi Development Authority Residential Flats Scheme – DDA Housing Scheme 2014

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) had launched the DDA Housing Scheme 2014, a built-up multistoried residential freehold flats scheme (DDA Scheme Code: DDA Housing Scheme 2014) in different localities of Delhi, on September 01, 2014.
Types and Categories of Flats
In DDA Housing Scheme 2014, the Delhi Development Authority had offered total 25,034 freehold residential flats of one bedroom, two bedrooms, and three bedrooms in the range of 84.82 to 164.11 square meters (High Income Group flats), 64.04 to 126.81 square meters (Middle Income Group flats), 31.34 to 73.99 square meters (Lower Income Group flats), 34.50 to 35.29 square meters (Expendable Housing Scheme Type ‘A’ flats), 18.85 to 28.72 square meters (Janta flats), and 25 to 40 square meters (Economically Weaker Sections flats) area.
Of these 25,034 EWS, LIG, MIG, HIG, Janta flats, 22,627 were one-bedroom apartments with a drawing room, kitchen and bathroom. Most of these one-bedroom flats are located in Dwarka, Rohini and Narela.
The Delhi Development Authority is also offered 700 flats for EWS category. These EWS flats are part of the housing complex at Swatantra Bharat Mills’s premises on Rohtak Road. A private builder has developed these flats as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the builder and DDA.
In this residential scheme, 896 flats have been constructed after 2010 with help of green technology.
The Delhi Development Authority for the first time has introduced a five-year lock-in period for ownership of these flats. After five years, the DDA will formally execute a conveyance deed in favour of the allottee.
The Allotment Rate of Flats
In DDA Housing Scheme 2014, the Delhi Development Authority had priced the residential flats depending on the location and plinth area. The DDA offered these flats at an allotment rate of Rs. 3,750,000 to Rs. 11,180,000 (HIG flats), Rs. 2,876,000 to Rs. 7,142,000 (MIG flats), Rs. 1,434,000 to Rs. 2,785,000 (LIG flats), Rs. 1,250,000 to Rs. 1,980,000 (Expendable Housing Scheme Type ‘A’ flats), Rs. 540,000 to Rs. 1,036,000 (Janta flats), and Rs. 690,000 to Rs. 1,100,000 (EWS flats) per flat.
Details of the Initial Deposit (Earnest Money) Required
For HIG, MIG, LIG, Janta, and Expendable Housing Scheme Type ‘A’ flats, an applicant had to pay an earnest money (initial deposit) of Rs. 100,000 with the application form.
The online applicants of DDA Housing Scheme 2014 could pay their registration money through NEFT, RTGS or Net Banking.
At the time of filing application, an applicant was required to submit no document other than a photocopy of his or her PAN Card.
For EWS flats, the Delhi Development Authority had asked the applicants to shell out initial deposit (earnest money) of Rs. 10,000 with the application form.
The Delhi Development Authority had prescribed an upper ceiling of Rs. 100,000 of annual income for those applying under the EWS category. For this, the EWS applicants would have to attach an income certificate with their application forms.
The successful applicants of EWS category will have an option to pay the cost of the flats in installments.
The Location of Flats in DDA Housing Scheme 2014
The Delhi Development Authority’s residential flats in the DDA Housing Scheme 2014 are located in Bindapur, Dwarka, Dilshad Garden, East of Loni Road, Jafrabad, Jahangirpuri, Jasola, Jhilmil, Kalkaji, Kalyan Vihar, Kondli Gharoli, Loknayak Puram, Madangiri, Magolpuri, Mansarover Park, Molarbund, Motia Khan, Mukherjee Nagar, Narela, Nasir Pur (Dwarka), Paschimpuri, Paschim Vihar, Raghubir Nagar, Rohini, Shalimar Bagh, Shivaji Marg, Siraspur, Tigri, and Todapur areas in Delhi.
Who Could Apply in DDA Housing Scheme 2014?
All citizens of India, who did not own a house, plot, or flat in Delhi, New Delhi or Delhi Cantonment area in their own name, or in the name of their spouse or children could apply in DDA Housing Scheme 2014.
Further, the applicant must be of 18 years of age and above on the date of filing of the application form.
An applicant could submit only one application form in this scheme. Both husband and wife could apply in DDA Housing Scheme 2014, however, if both are successful, only one person could retain a flat.
The applicants of this residential scheme could give a choice of flats in three categories or areas in their application forms.
The Last Date to Apply
The last date for submission of application forms for the DDA Housing Scheme 2014 was on Wednesday, October 15, 2014.
The Application Forms and Brochures
The application forms and brochures, containing detailed terms and conditions of the DDA Housing Scheme 2014, were available in the authorized branches of Axis Bank Limited, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank, HDFC Bank Limited, ICICI Bank Limited, IDBI Limited Bank, IndusInd Bank Limited, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, Syndicate Bank, Union Bank of India, and Yes Bank Limited in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and West Bengal.
Cost of the application form along with the prescribed brochure for the DDA Housing Scheme 2014 was Rs. 150.
The Lottery Draw of Lots
The Delhi Development Authority had offered these residential Flats for allotment to the public through a lottery draw of lots.
The Delhi Development Authority has declared result of the lottery draw of lots for DDA Housing Scheme 2014 on Tuesday, November 25, 2014.
The lottery draw of lots for the DDA Housing Scheme 2014 was held in New Delhi.
The draw was held by the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), which had earlier held the draw for DDA’s previous residential scheme DDA Housing Scheme 2010.
The Delhi Development Authority will refund the registration money to the unsuccessful applicants of DDA Housing Scheme 2014 within 3 weeks after the draw of lots is held.
The Delhi Development Authority plans to handover the possession of flats to the successful allottees by March 31, 2015.
