How to Propagate the Pomegranate Plants

Pomegranate seeds can sprout easily even if they are just thrown on the loose soil surface. The seedlings grow with vim. To avoid the seedling variants, the picked out cultivars are generally multiplied with hardwood cuttings that are about 10 to 20 inches long.
The cuttings can root well and the plants from them produce fruit after about three years. The twelve to 20 inches long cuttings are acquired in winter from one-year old wood.
The leaves of pomegranate can be removed and the cuttings are treated with bedding hormone and placed in about two thirds to the length in the soil or any other warm medium. They can be air layered but grafting is successful quite rare.
