Pomegranate Granita Recipe
From the favorites of the chefs, pomegranate granita is an earthy textured frozen dessert.
Ingredients Required for Preparing Pomegranate Granita:
2 cups pomegranate juice
1/3 cup orange juice
1½ teaspoons lemon-juice
¼-cup sugar
1 orange
6 tablespoons Pomegranate seeds
Pomegranate Granita Preparation Method:
Take a 9 by 13 inches pan. Stir the pomegranate juice, lemon juice, orange juice, and sugar together. Keep it covered airtight. Freeze the mixture until it becomes solid for about 3 to 4 hours.
Break off the freezed mixture in chunks. Beat it up in a mixer and make its pea-size pieces. Bring back granita to the pan and freeze. Keep it covered airtight until it becomes firm for at the minimum of three hours. You can add it up to 2 days.
In the meantime, cut the 1-tablespoon peel from orange in long and thin tittles. You can make use of a zester or a grater to cut it finely. Make use of a sharp knife to cut the remnant peel and tissue layer from the orange.
Accommodate the fruit on the bowl. Cut it between the membrane and the fruit to bring out the segments in the bowl. Serve the equal parts of granita in the chilled staunched glasses or the small bowls. Sprinkle pomegranate seeds in each glass using a tablespoon. You can garnish it well with the orange pieces and peel.
To have a smooth feel, you can freeze the whole mixture in an ice-cream maker.
