The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has launched the DDA Housing Scheme 2017, a residential scheme (DDA Scheme Code: DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017) of 12,072 built-up multistoried freehold flats, in different localities of Delhi on Friday, June 30, 2017.
Types and Categories of Residential Flats in DDA Housing Scheme 2017
In the DDA Housing Scheme 2017 (DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017), the Delhi Development Authority has offered total 87 HIG (High Income Group) freehold residential flats in the range of 72.43 to 156.61 square meters, 404 MIG (Middle Income Group) freehold residential flats in the range of 72.28 to 131.68 square meters, 11,197 LIG (Low Income Group) or One Bedroom freehold residential flats in the range of 28.24 to 61.05 square meters, and 384 Janta or EWS (Economical Weaker Section) freehold residential flats in the range of 18.80 to 41.22 square meters plinth area for allotment to the various categories of applicants.

In DDA Housing Scheme 2017, the Delhi Development Authority offered one bedroom, two bedroom, and three bedroom houses for allotment.

The Allotment Rate of Residential Flats in DDA Housing Scheme 2017
In DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017 (DDA Housing Scheme 2017), the Delhi Development Authority has offered the freehold residential flats at an allotment rate of Rs. 53.52 Lakhs to Rs. 126.81 Lakhs for HIG 3 BHK flats, Rs. 31.32 Lakhs to Rs. 93.95 Lakhs for MIG 2 BHK flats, Rs. 14.50 Lakhs to Rs. 30.30 Lakhs for LIG 1 BHK flats, and Rs. 7.07 Lakhs to Rs. 12.76 Lakhs for Janta 1 room flats.
The tentative cost of these DDA flats includes land premium, cost of construction, and a 20% surcharge on land premium and cost of construction. Cost of construction includes departmental charges and interest during construction period. The price difference of DDA flats within a category is due to variation in plinth area of the flats.

Cost of the application form along with the prescribed brochure for the DDA Housing Scheme 2017 is Rs. 200.

The Earnest Money (Initial Deposit) Required for DDA Housing Scheme 2017
For HIG and MIG residential flats, an applicant has to pay an initial deposit (earnest money) of Rs. 200,000 with the application form.
For LIG and Janta or EWS residential flats, the Delhi Development Authority has asked the applicants to shell out earnest money (initial deposit) of Rs. 100,000 with the application form.
Home Loan under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for DDA Housing Scheme 2017
In DDA Housing Scheme 2017, applicants will also be able to get home loan under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, a Government of India Urban Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme for Housing for All. The housing loan in DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017 will be available from various bank branches after the allotment of a flat.
The Lottery Draw of Lots for Residential Flats in DDA Housing Scheme 2017
The Delhi Development Authority has offered these freehold residential flats in DDA Aawasiya Yojana 2017 (DDA Housing Scheme 2017) for allotment to the public through a lottery draw of lots.
It is expected that the Delhi Development Authority will declare result of the lottery draw of lots for DDA Housing Scheme 2017 before November 30, 2017.
The lottery draw of lots for the residential flats in DDA Housing Scheme 2017 is to be held through a computerized draw based on random number technique in the presence of independent judges and observers in New Delhi.
