Eligibility Conditions for Allotment of Flats to Ex-Servicemen in DDA Housing Scheme 2010

The Allotment of DDA Freehold Residential Flats to the Ex-Servicemen Category

As per Delhi Development Authority’s current reservation policy for the Ex-Servicemen, the eligibility conditions for the allotment of DDA freehold residential flats are:

1. 1% of the total number of flats in Delhi Development Authority’s DDA Housing Scheme 2010 is reserved for the Ex-Servicemen.

2. In case number(s) of the flats in respect of Ex-Servicemen category comes to fraction i.e. less than 0.5 it would be rounded off to zero and if it is 0.5 or more it would be rounded off to one.

3. If requisite number of applications is not received from the Ex-Servicemen category, all remaining flats reserved for the Ex-Servicemen category shall be offered to the persons of non-reserved categories.

4. An applicant applying in the Ex-Servicemen Category must be a citizen of India.

5. Under Ex-serviceman reserved category, the joint applicants should be from within the family or should be in the blood relation. Family means spouse (if any), and dependent children (if any).

6. An applicant under Ex-serviceman reserved category should have attained the age of majority. For this, an applicant should have completed 18 years of age as on the date of filling of the application for a flat.

7. An applicant can submit one application only.

8. The applicant must have Permanent Account Number (PAN) allotted under the provisions of Income Tax Act and the applicant must quote the same on the DDA Housing application form.

9. The applicant must have a saving or current account in any bank and the bank particulars must be filled in the application form. It is assumed that the bank has followed ‘KYC’ norms of the Reserve Bank of India in respect of such an account.

10. There is no income criterion for applying in the DDA Housing Scheme 2010. The applicant can apply for a DDA flat according to his or her requirement and affordability.

11. Both husband and wife can apply for DDA flats subject to fulfillment of eligibility condition with a stipulation that if both are found to be successful only one shall be allotted a DDA flat.

12. The applicant must not own any residential flat or plot in full or in part on leasehold or freehold basis in Delhi, New Delhi, or Delhi Cantonment either in his or her own name or in the name of his wife or her husband or in the name of his or her minor or dependent children.

13. A person who has already been allotted a plot, house, or flat constructed by the Delhi Development Authority or any other land owning department shall not be eligible to apply for another flat under the DDA Housing Scheme 2010.

Addition Document(s) to be Attached with the DDA Application Form for the Ex-Servicemen Category

For the Ex-Servicemen Category: An attested photocopy of the Discharge Certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Ministry of Defence or Department of Defence (Indian Army, Indian Navy, or Indian Air Force, as the case may).

Please note that an applicant not submitting the requisite documents along with DDA Application Form will not be considered for allotment of a DDA Flat under the Ex-Servicemen Category and will be treated under the General Category.
