Army Welfare Housing Organisation (AWHO) was formed in December 1978 under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
Army Welfare Housing Organisation’s main aims and objectives are to construct houses for serving and retired Army personnel and their widows in selected stations throughout India.
Usually, before the launch of any residential project, the Army Welfare Housing Organisation conducts demand surveys to determine demand for a housing project at a certain location.
The Adjutant-General of the Indian Army is the ex-officio Chairman of Army Welfare Housing Organisation. The board of governors of AWHO is entirely constituted of senior army officers.
The headquarters of Army Welfare Housing Organisation is based in New Delhi, India.

You can get AWHO Application Form along with the Master Brochure by registered post by sending a DD or IPO for ₹168 in favour of Managing Director, Army Welfare Housing Organisation, Kashmir House, Rajaji Marg, New Delhi 110011 payable at Delhi or New Delhi.
You can obtain the Application Form and Master Brochure by paying ₹112 in cash from Army Welfare Housing Organisation’s Headquarters situated at Kashmir House, Rajaji Marg, New Delhi 110011.
You can also receive the Application Form with accompanying Master Brochure by paying ₹112 in cash from any of the Army Welfare Housing Organisation’s Project Manager Offices situated in various cities all over India.

(1) You will need to take the printout on a legal size (8.5″ x 14″) paper.
(2) Please make sure that the Para 17 is printed properly in your downloaded application form.
Get the photograph and signature of applicant mentioned in Para 23 in the Application Form verified by the Commanding Officer (in case of Serving Officers, JCOs and Other Ranks) and the Secretary Rajya Sainik Board or Zila Sainik Welfare Office or any 1st Class Gazette Officer in Area HQ, Sub Area HQ, Station HQ or by the Sub Divisional Magistrate of the district of which the applicant is a resident in case of Ex-Servicemen, Widows/Widowers, and Parents of the unmarried fatal casualties.
Submit the signed and attested Application Form with attested photocopies of the following documents, as applicable:
(i) Pension Pay Order (in case of retired personnel, widows/widowers, and parents of unmarried fatal casualties)
(ii) Release Order or Retirement Order (in case of retired or retiring personnel)
(iii) Death Certificate (in case of widows/widowers of ex-servicemen or parents of unmarried fatal casualties)
Send the Application Form with the attached documents to the Managing Director, Army Welfare Housing Organisation, Kashmir House, Rajaji Marg, New Delhi 110011 along with the registration money.
The office of Army Welfare Housing Organisation will inform you about the receipt and status of your application.
