Reservation for the Sportspersons in PDA Enclave Dhuri Freehold Residential Plots Scheme

Dhuri (Punjab, India), November 14, 2015

The Patiala Urban Planning and Development Authority (PDA) had launched a 210 freehold residential plots scheme (PDA Scheme Code PDA Enclave Dhuri) in PDA Enclave, Dhuri (District Sangrur) in Punjab on June 03, 2015.

As per Punjab Government’s current reservation policy, 2% of the total number of plots in 150 square yards, 200 square yards, 250 square yards, amd 300 square yards plots category are reserved for the sportspersons in the PDA Enclave Dhuri plots scheme.

Accordingly, the Patiala Urban Planning and Development Authority had reserved 4 plots for the sportspersons in PDA Enclave Dhuri freehold residential plots scheme.

Different Sizes of Plots Available for the Sportspersons (Category Code: S)

150 Square Yards = 1 Residential Plot
200 Square Yards = 1 Residential Plot
250 Square Yards = 1 Residential Plot
300 Square Yards = 1 Residential Plot
325 Square Yards = 0 Residential Plot
350 Square Yards = 0 Residential Plot
400 Square Yards = 0 Residential Plot
450 Square Yards = 0 Residential Plot

Total Plots Available for the Sportspersons Category Applicants = 4 Residential Plots

In case, any plot of a particular size remains un-allotted for want of required number of applications, or otherwise, then unsuccessful applicants of a bigger size of plot shall have the right to opt for such smaller size of plot, which is left un-allotted in the sportspersons category. Such option will be taken at the time of submission of application.

All such plots reserved for the sportspersons, which remain un-allotted for want of sufficient number of applications, or otherwise, then such un-allotted plots shall be re-advertised under the same scheme or Urban Estate for a second time, calling applications from such eligible sports persons, in accordance with this policy.

In case any number of plots, which were re-advertised, still remain un-allotted for the want of applications, or otherwise, then the said plots shall be transferred to the General Category.

Allotment of a residential plot in the PDA Enclave Dhuri scheme to a sportsperson will be subject to fulfillment of the applicable eligibility terms and conditions.

Eligibility Conditions for the Sportspersons for PDA Enclave Dhuri Plots Scheme

For allotment of the plots to the sportspersons in PDA Enclave Dhuri scheme, the Patiala Urban Planning and Development Authority will adopt the following eligibility conditions in order of preference:

(1) Medal winner of Olympic Games, World Cup, Asian Games, and Mountaineers, who have scaled Mount Everest (Category Code: S1)

(2) First three position holders of Common Wealth Games, Afro-Asian Games, and Asian Championship (Category Code: S2)

(3) Participants of Olympic Games, World Cup, and Asian Games (Category Code: S3)

(4) Participants of Common Wealth Games, Afro-Asian Games, Asian Championships, International Cricket Test Matches, International Cricket One-Day Matches, and International Cricket T-20 Matches (Category Code: S4)

The sportspersons falling under category (3) and (4) above shall be eligible only for plots measuring up to 250 square yards.

The applicant should be a resident of state of Punjab as notified by the Punjab Government vide Letter No. 1/3/95-3PP1/9619 dated 06-01-1996 and amended thereafter from time to time.

The applicant under sportspersons category must be a resident of Punjab only as defined by State Government or has been residing in Punjab for the last five years.

The applicant sportsperson should not have been allotted any plot or house earlier by the Directorate of Urban Estates, Punjab Housing Development Board, PUDA, or other development authorities or any Improvement Trust or any other agency of the State Government or the Central Government anywhere in India, under the Sports Category.

The applicant under sportspersons category must not have availed benefit of allotment of an apartment, flat, built-up house, or a residential plot under any reserved category in any scheme of any Government agency anywhere in the Punjab state.

The applicant sportsperson should not possess any plot or house in the Urban Estates of Dhuri, for which the plot is being applied for in this scheme.

Eligibility Certificate for the Sportspersons for PDA Enclave Dhuri Plots Scheme

In case of a sportsperson applying in the PDA Enclave Dhuri plots scheme, a valid certificate issued by the Competent Authority is required as mentioned below:

The eligible sportspersons shall produce certificate issued by the Competent Authority of Sports Department regarding the recognition of such championships.

The eligible cricketers shall produce certificate issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding the recognition of such International matches.

In the case of mountaineers, a certificate awarded by the Indian Mountaineer Foundation, duly countersigned by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, is required.

Affidavit to be Submitted by the Sportspersons Category Applicants

All the sportspersons applicants will have to submit an affidavit on a non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 25, attested by the Executive Magistrate or Notary Public (as per the specimen format given).

Allotment of the residential plots in PDA Enclave Dhuri scheme shall be governed by the provision contained in the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act 1995 and the Rules and Regulations framed there under and as amended from time to time.
