Amritsar Development Authority – Reservation Categories for the ADA Amritsar Aero City Plots Scheme

The Amritsar Development Authority (ADA) had launched a residential plots scheme (ADA Amritsar Scheme Code: Aero City Plots Scheme) of 428 plots in Aero City, Amritsar (Punjab).
Allotment of the plots in ADA Amritsar Aero City residential plots scheme shall be governed by the provision contained in the Punjab Regional and Town Planning and Development Act 1995 and the Rules and Regulations framed there under and as amended from time to time.
Accordingly, the Amritsar Development Authority had reserved a number of plots for the certain categories of persons in the ADA Amritsar Aero City residential plots scheme. The reservation existed for various categories of people.
Eligibility Conditions for the Reserved Categories for Allotment of Plots in ADA Amritsar Aero City Scheme
The applicant under a reserve category must be a resident of Punjab only as defined by State Government or has been residing in Punjab for the last five years.
The applicant under a reserve category must not have availed benefit of allotment of an apartment, flat, built-up house, or a residential plot under any reserved category in any scheme of any Government agency anywhere in the Punjab state.
Applicable Categories of Applicants for ADA Amritsar Aero City Residential Plots Scheme
There were eleven applicable categories of applicants eligible for the ADA Amritsar Aero City freehold residential plots scheme. These are –
1. General Category Applicants (Category Code: A)
2. Serving and Retired Defence Personnel (Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air Force Personnel), Paramilitary Forces, and War Widows of these categories (Category Code: C)
3. Legal Heirs of the Defence Personnel, Paramilitary Forces, or Punjab Policemen Killed in Action while in war or on law and order duties (Category Code: D)
4. 100% Disabled Soldiers of Punjab Domicile (Category Code: E)
5. Disabled Persons as defined by Section 2 (i) the persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation Act, 1995) (Category Code: G)
6. Freedom Fighters – Only those freedom fighters who are recipient of Freedom Fighter Reward Pension from the Punjab Government or Tamra Patra issued the Government of India (Category Code: H)
7. Gallantry Award Winners from the defence services, paramilitary forces who have distinguished themselves by acts of bravery and valour in the defence of our country and Punjab Police Personnel awarded with President Police medal for Gallantry and Police Medal for Gallantry (Category Code: J)
8. Sportspersons – Medal Winners and Participants of Olympic Games, World Cup, Asian Games, Mount Everest Mountaineers, Common Wealth Games, Afro Asian Games, Asian Championship, International Cricket Test Matches, International Cricket One Day Matches, and International Cricket T-20 Matches (Category Code: I)
9. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes notified by the Government of Punjab (Category Code: B)
10. Families of Riot Affected or Terrorist Affected Victims (Category Code: F)
11. Non Resident Indians (NRIs) – Punjabis and Persons of Punjab Origin, who are settled abroad (Category Code: K)
